The goal of the social emotional learning course is to offer learning opportunities to all students so that they may develop social and emotional skills to thrive in school and life.
Upon completion of social emotional learning course, our goal is that participants accomplish the following:
1.Develop skills to understand emotions
2.Develop skills to understand oneself
3.Develop skills and knowledge to regulate one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in different situations
4.Develop healthy coping skills
5.Develop skills to take the perspective of and empathize with others
6.Develop social-awareness and interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships7.Learn skills to practice mindfulness when dealing with stress and anxiety
